The April issue of Q, onsale 1 March, celebrates the glorious resurrection of one of Americaıs most revered bands, R.E.M.
They have, of course, appeared in Q many times over the years guitarist Peter Buck even had a monthly column at one point - and hence our photo archive contains an embarrassment of R.E.M.-related riches.

1987 (when Q was launched) to 2005.
REM in June 1998, shortly before the release of Up. Their most downbeat and experimental album to date, it was a major influence on Radioheadıs Kid A.
