1 April sees the release of R.E.M.'s 14th studio album
Accelerate. Reprising the full-blooded guitar onslaught of
1994's Monster, it's their most confident album in years and
receives a glowing four-star review in the current issue of Q,
the cover of which the band also grace.
To celebrate R.E.M.'s astonishing career, we're inviting fans
to browse through all of Michael Stipe and co's singles and
vote for their favourite. From 1983's Radio Free Europe to
2008's Supernatural Superserious, it's a mighty body of work,
encompassing some of the greatest alternative rock anthems
ever written. The results will be announced 17 March.
