Muse at the Royal Albert Hall.
On April 12 Muse played London’s Royal Albert Hall as part of a week of gigs in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust. Abandoning their usual mega-watt light show in favour of a stripped-back stage-set, the trio blasted through live favourites such as Plug In Baby and Knights Of Cydonia. Naturally, our photographer Mick Hutson was on hand to capture all the action.

Afterwards, Matt Bellamy revealed to Q that the gig had been a particularly poignant one for him: “We’re supporting a worthy cause that’s close to our hearts – we knew a guy at school who died young, and that’s always stayed with us. Plus, we got to play the Albert Hall and I had a go on that organ!”

Six teenagers are diagnosed with cancer every day in the UK. Please support Teenage Cancer Trust.
Muse drummer Dom Howard. In contrast to the band's usual stadium-size stage-show, at the Albert Hall they played in front of just a narrow backdrop of white lights.
