Jim Morrison, The Doors – by Robert Altman Altman explains: "Jim Morrison was the first person I saw wearing leather pants. I thought that was the coolest thing. In fact, he was the first rock star I ever experienced live and close up. This was in 1968; Bat [New York’s] Fillmore East. I'd just started to get into photography and people weren't that uptight about access. I just went in and started to shoot."
